According to Branch Manager Mike Scharfenberger, it’s the staff—and their collective years of experience—that make customers confident in the help they receive.
“We specialize in heavy mechanical, heavy industrial applications,” said Scharfenberger. “There are four staffers here who each have nearly 30 years of experience in those fields, so customers feel confident they’re working with seasoned professionals.”
In addition to our mechanical and industrial products, the Cincinnati Branch maintains a well-stocked inventory of stainless and alloy products, along with the full line of Victaulic mechanical pipe joining systems.
Spanning 105,000 square feet, the facility supports a wide service area, reaching north to Dayton, across eastern Indiana, into northern Kentucky, and even into the western edge of West Virginia. Its close coordination with The Macomb Group’s Columbus Branch strengthens its regional impact.
Mike Barnett, Regional Manager for both Cincinnati and Columbus, noted that the area is currently experiencing strong growth, which creates exciting new opportunities.
“In addition to multiple new school projects, we’re getting fabrication work for a number of large AI data centers under construction in the area,” noted Barnett. “And that will also require building additional power generation plants to serve them.”
According to Scharfenberger, customer service remains at the heart of the branch’s
mission—even beyond standard business hours.
“Occasionally we’ve opened on Saturdays to meet urgent customer needs,” he noted.
The Cincinnati Branch also plays a critical logistical role for The Macomb Group’s broader network of locations.
“What’s unique to our location is our relationship with two master distributors – Allied Group and Texas Pipe,” said Scharfenberger. “Every afternoon, we pick up materials from those locations for distribution to all branches companywide. We’re proud of our involvement and our ability to contribute to The Macomb Group’s overall success.”
