Since opening its doors in October, The Macomb Group’s newest branch in Appleton, Wisconsin, has quickly established itself as a key supplier across the region, delivering to industries throughout Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Expanding Service Area
According to Andy Kazik, Regional Manager for Central Wisconsin and Appleton Branch Manager, the branch is making daily deliveries to the Green Bay and greater Appleton areas. “We also have the reach to make deliveries to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Door County, down the lakeshore to Milwaukee, over to Madison and up to the Wausau area,” Kazik explains.
Serving a Diverse Customer Base
The Appleton branch supplies a wide range of industries, from mechanical contractors, shipbuilders, factories and OEMs. “With our inventory, we can be a preferred supplier for nearly any industry,” says Kazik.
One high-profile project the branch is supporting is the construction of a multi-billion AI and cloud data center south of Milwaukee. Other key customers include water treatment plants, cheesemaking factories, and refineries.
Comprehensive Inventory and Customer-Centric Approach
Like many Macomb Group locations, the Appleton branch stocks an extensive selection of pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF), ensuring quick access to critical components. “We are stocking and can supply stainless, carbon, plastic, copper, HPDE, lined pipe, malleable iron, valves, gaskets, press fittings, grooved pipe, and everything in between,” says Kazik. “Our biggest seller lately has been out stock of AIS (American Iron and Steel certification) We made a commitment to stock as much as we can that our day-to-day customers may need in a hurry.”
Beyond product availability, the branch also offers vendor-managed inventory (VMI) services, helping customers streamline their supply chain and reduce downtime. “If there’s a project, we can manage it,” Kazik emphasizes. “We’ve done $100 orders and multi-million-dollar orders. The most important thing is that we want a partner and not just an order. We want a long-standing relationship so that customers can count on us every time.”
