Lexington, Kentucky conjures up visions of picturesque thoroughbred horse farms and the famed Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It’s also home to The Macomb Group’s newest branch location, strategically located near the I-75 and I-64 interchange.
According to Branch Manager Mike Marquardt (who also serves as Central Kentucky sales manager), Lexington and the surrounding area provides a myriad of industrial and commercial businesses which rely on The Macomb Group’s products.
“A lot of our work is with contractors who support a very large automotive manufacturer in the area,” Marquardt noted. “We also work with many contractors – plumbers, pipefitters, and other skilled trades at industrial facilities in and around the Lexington market.”
The 5,000 square foot Lexington facility, which opened in March 2020, carries PVF products specially selected to serve the Central Kentucky industrial market, Marquardt explained. The focus at Lexington is primarily serving the industrial piping contractor, but the commercial market is also a key part of the business.
“We work hard here to be flexible,” Marquardt noted. “If it requires weekend hours or after-hours delivery, we’re here to serve the customer.”
At the same time the branch team prides itself on being able to get additional or special-order products shipped daily to Lexington and to customers from other locations, such as The Macomb Group’s Jeffersonville, IN, branch.
